Call for Proposals

Presentation and Poster Session Proposal Deadline: May 4, 2007

The ALAO Program Planning Committee invites you to present your ideas, experiences and views to generate exciting discussions with your colleagues on innovative tools and techniques that are transforming our profession. Change, like taxes and death, is a fact of life. The library community has often been in the forefront of exploring new technologies and strategies to create innovative services for our users, as well as enhancing our operational procedures. Not only have we blazed trails in new ways of doing things, we are also one of the first professions to address the needs of the new generation of the "millennial" users, as well as responding to the impact of the "baby boomer" to "generation X" staff transition.

Listed below are a few ideas to stimulate your thoughts on these topics. Please consider sharing your practical solutions, creative approaches and exploration of the impact these issues have upon libraries.
