ALAO DLIG/IIG Co-Hosted 2020 Virtual Summer Workshop Series

ALAO's Instruction Interest Group and Distance Learning Interest Group are joining together to provide a series of free virtual workshops on topics relating to teaching and learning in a remote environment. All of us are facing challenges as we continue to serve our students and faculty during the COVID-19 pandemic as we switched rapidly to virtual learning. The webinar series aims to keep librarians connected and inspired as we move forward and will cover topics related to copyright, accessibility, active learning and more.

Copyright, Fair Use and Online Teaching

Presenter: Carla Myers, Coordinator of Scholarly Communications, Miami University Libraries

May 21, 11am-12:30pm

One of the key challenges in our unprecedented shift to online education is addressing copyright issues. You may be faced with questions from faculty and others in your campus community on how copyright law applies during the pandemic. Carla Myers will provide information on and answer your questions about the copyright issues involved in rapidly moving your instruction online and continuing to provide online access to teaching and research resources.
